About

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!

My name is Adrian, and I am the founder of Tennis Den.

Tennis has been a part of my life since I was about 8 years old. My dad played college tennis in Australia, so he introduced tennis to me since I was young.

Tennis was the only sport that I did growing up. I was fortunate enough to have a tennis court close to my house, so I play tennis almost every day after school hours with a private coach. I also joined a private tennis club back in high school.

Growing up, I adored both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. In my opinion, their story was one of the most insane rivalries in all sports history. I was always excited watching a final game featuring these two fantastic players.

My first tennis racket was the yellow & black Babolat Pure Aero, which Rafael Nadal always used. Now, Babolat rackets have more variety in color, like orange, purple, and blue. But back then, it was only the yellow & black version.

I always thought the yellow color was unique and different from other tennis rackets at the time. So I fell in love with it at first sight and asked my parents to buy it for me on my 8th birthday.

Roger Federer heavily inspired me in my playing style. I chose to learn the one-handed backhand even though my dad used the two-handed backhand. Even today, when everyone is shifting towards using two-handed backhands, I still stick with the one-handed style.

After graduating from university, I had to focus on a corporate career. So I do not have as much time playing tennis anymore. But I still try to play at least once a week.

Now, I play tennis casually and coach younger generations to pick up the sport. I have a huge passion for tennis, and I try to convey that to my fellow tennis lovers here at Tennis Den.

Tennis Den is a place where I share everything about tennis, including strategies, tips on getting better at the sport, and many more general tennis guides and fun facts.
